Tomb of Kʼinich Janaabʼ Pakal Beach Towel

Sale price$32.00

Size:

The Tablet of the Tomb of King Pakal, also known as the Sarcophagus Lid, is an intricately carved stone slab that covers the tomb of the Maya ruler K'inich Janaab' Pakal in Palenque. The carving shows Pakal in a reclining position, surrounded by complex Maya cosmological symbols, including the World Tree. While traditionally interpreted as depicting Pakal's descent into the underworld, some theorists believe the imagery resembles a spacecraft, with Pakal appearing to operate controls, suggesting he is ascending into the heavens. This interpretation has fueled speculation that the Maya were depicting extraterrestrial encounters, although mainstream scholars view it as a symbolic representation of the journey to the afterlife.

Beach days are always a bliss – showing up with a luxuriously soft and customized beach towel however can add a bit more sunshine to your day. This heavyweight towel feels extra lush to the touch as it features a polyester facing where your prints go in vivid detail, and a cotton loop backing for durability.

Please note: Due to the thickness of the towel the print colors may not soak all the way through the fabric and a white backing can appear when towel fibers are stroked.

.: Material: 52% polyester and 48% cotton
.: Comes in two sizes (30" × 60" and 36" × 72")
.: White cotton loop backing
